At Temple Baptist Church, our faith is rooted in the truth of God’s Word and centered on the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe:
The Bible
The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and life.
God
The Trinity: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. And these 3 are one.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. He is the only way of salvation.
Salvation
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. It cannot be earned by good works. All who repent and believe are forgiven and made new.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit indwells every born-again believer, providing guidance, comfort, conviction, and power through the work of God for living a godly life.
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all born again believers. We are called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, and to share the Gospel with the world.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith. The Lord’s Supper is observed in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.
Christian Living
Following Christ in faith and truth, loving one another as Christ loved us. Edifying one another to live by faith..
The Return of Christ
We believe in the premillennial physical return of Jesus Christ for his church.
